5G MVNO Industry Overview
The 5G MVNO market is fragmented, as it currently consists of many players. Several key market players are constantly working to bring advancements.A few prominent companies are entering into collaborations and expanding their global footprints in developing regions to consolidate their positions in the market. The major players in this market include B.T. Mobile, Telefonica S.A., Sky Mobile, Japan Communications, TracFone Wireless Inc., and several others.
In December 2022, Verizon will extend its 5G home fixed wireless access (FWA) service to prepaid clients through its online prepaid brand Visible. According to Michael Timmermann of the website MichaelSaves.com, who tweeted about the Visible offer and used Visible to purchase Verizon's FWA service, the home router is free. Still, Verizon will charge users for the equipment if they cancel the subscription and don't return the router.
In November 2022, CITIC Telecom International Holdings Limited's subsidiary CTM officially began its 5G service plans after recently obtaining the 5G license in Macau. CTM built a 5G experience zone on-site so that clients could get more value-added services, such as speed tests in real time, audio-visual services, and cloud gaming services.
