- Feb 2021: Ingredion formed a joint venture (JV) with Argentina-based food producer Grupo Arcor to expand food and beverage ingredient offerings to customers in Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay. As per the agreement, Grupo Arcor holds a 51% share, and the remaining stake will be owned by Ingredion. Furthermore, Ingredion plans to transfer its operations in Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay to the JV, which includes two manufacturing facilities in the Buenos Aires districts of Chacabuco and Baradero. The facilities manufacture value-added ingredients for the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries, such as glucose syrups, maltose, fructose, starch, and maltodextrins.
