- April 2022: SEAT announced that CUPRA's first fully electric model CUPRA Born will go into production for Australia by the end of 2022 and will start deliveries early in 2023. 2022 will also see the automotive brand open a CUPRA City Garage in Sydney's CBD. The unique destination, close to the world's most famous harbor, will offer an unconventional and unique customer experience.
- March 2022: BYD Atto launched its three electric crossovers in Australia through the exclusive distributor EV Direct. Among them is the Atto 3, which is known as the Yuan Plus in China. This cutting-edge model is built on e-Platform 3.0 and incorporates BYD's advanced Blade EV battery technology. The Atto 3 is available in two energy capacities, with the standard variant (Superior) equipped with a 50.1-kWh pack that provides a WLTP range of 320 km. For those seeking an extended range, the Superior Extended Range variant comes with a 60.4-kWh unit capable of covering 420 km on a single charge.
- February 2022: Polestar announced the start of sales in Australia, with deliveries of the Polestar 2 set to begin in March with pre-configured vehicles. Polestar 2 is the first fully electric model in the Polestar portfolio, with pricing starting at a highly competitive USD 59,900 for the Standard range Single motor and USD 64,900 for the Long-range Single motor.
- February 2022: Hyzon Motors Inc. announced that Melbourne will be home to Hyzon Motors Australia's headquarters under a new partnership agreement between the RACV and Hyzon, a global leader in zero-emissions hydrogen-powered commercial vehicles. Hyzon Motors, in conjunction with the RACV at their Noble Park location, will develop a purpose-built facility including corporate offices, a showroom, assembly warehousing, and a workshop, expected to generate over 100 local engineering and manufacturing jobs by 2025.

- May 2023: Sojitz Corporation acquired full ownership of Albert Automotive Holdings Pty Ltd, which operates a wholesale and retail used car business as part of Dutton Group.
- October 2023: CarSwitch, a Dubai-based online used car marketplace, announced its plans to expand its operations across the United Arab Emirates and launch new services, such as car financing and subscription services. The company is also planning to open new physical showrooms in major cities across the country.

- In August 2023, A research team led by Clemson University in collaboration with NETL and with support from Honda has developed a lightweight vehicle door using carbon fiber, thermoplastic resin, and advanced computer design.

- Additonally this includes an ultra-lightweight, highly compact driveline weighing just 74 kg boasting an impressive torque density of 70 N·m/kg. - In May 2022, Mercedes-AMG unveiled its Vision AMG all-electric concept car. The four-door coupé is built on the AMG. A platform is being developed in Affalterbach for all-electric performance models. The Vision AMG's innovative Axial Flux Motor was developed by Mercedes-Benz's wholly owned subsidiary YASA. Its compact and lightweight design provides significantly more power than conventional electric motors.
- March 2022: Toyota Motors Europe (TME) announced a major new contract with INDICATA Europe to roll out its used car pricing data to 13 countries over the next two months. INDICATA developed a bespoke reporting suite for TME that tracks all the online used Toyota and Lexus adverts from its dealer networks across Europe and presented it into an easy-to-read dashboard for each country.
- March 2022: Inchcape announced that it pulled out of the Russian market as a result of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. The company stated that in light of the current circumstances, they concluded that the Group's ownership of its business interests in Russia was no longer tenable.
- March 2022: TrueCar Inc. launched a new online car-buying marketplace called TrueCar+. TrueCar+ was to provide consumers with a more flexible and personalized car buying experience for new and used vehicles.

In August 2022, Kalmar which is the part of Cargotec got the supply deal for the three T2i terminal tractor at the Maldives Port Limited. The orders are scheduled to be delivered by Q1 of 2023.
In June 2022, côte d'ivoire terminal has announced the delivery of 14 new APM 75T HE electric terminal tractor supplied by Gaussin for the usage of transportation services at port of Abidjan. Although, the order was made of 36 terminal tractor units which will be supplied in phases by end of 2022.
In December 2021, Mercury Marine which is a division of Brunswick Corporation opened a centralized, purpose-built distribution center near Indianapolis, Indiana. The new 512,000 square-foot facility will felicitate several Mercury Marine products including inflatable boats.

In September 2021, Citroen announced that it was planning to launch Ami and Ami Cargo in the United Kingdom in spring 2022. The vehicles come with a 5.5 kWh battery pack that takes three hours to recharge and gives a range of 46 km.
In September 2021, Eli Electric Vehicles, a compact EV manufacturer, announced the production of its flagship Eli Zero. Classified as a light quadricycle, Eli Zero features batteries that have a 5.8 kWh capacity, a range of 50 miles, and can charge from 0 to 100% in 2.5 hours at 220 volts.
In January 2021, Polish EV startup Triggo unveiled an electric quadricycle Triggo EV targeted for car-sharing and package delivery purposes. The Triggo EV has a top speed of 90 km/h (56 mph). Powered by two brushless DC motors at the rear, with a battery configuration comprising four 3.5-kWh batteries, the EV offers a per-charge range of up to 140 km.
