Market Trends of Aviation Headsets Industry

This section covers the major market trends shaping the Aviation Headsets Market according to our research experts:

Reviving Aircraft Deliveries And Increasing Emphasis From Airline Companies

The gradual recovery in passenger traffic is driving airlines and aircraft operators to invest in fleet modernization programs. For instance, in June 2021, United Airlines announced accelerating the deferred aircraft order for 45 Boeing 737 MAX deliveries to 2022 and 2023 (from 2023 and beyond). The airline also ordered 200 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft (150 Boeing 737-10 aircraft and 50 Boeing 737-8 aircraft and 70 Airbus A321neo aircraft). The fleet expansion is part of the airline's post-COVID-19 growth strategy.

With the growth in orders, aircraft OEMs are increasing the production rates of aircraft above pre-pandemic levels. Airbus plans to raise the output of its A320 family to 65 jets per month by 2023. It is considering rates as high as 75 per month by 2025. It reached 60 per month in 2019 before dropping to 40 per month in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The increase in aircraft delivery will directly boost the aviation headset market in the coming year.

Asia-Pacific will witness the Highest Growth During the Forecast Period

Asia-pacific will show a higher growth rate in the coming year due to various factors. The Asia-pacific includes top population countries where the air traffic passenger is increasing year on year.

In 2020, air passengers carried to China were 417 million. The number of air passengers in China increased from 72.7 million in 2001 to 417 million in 2020, growing at an average annual rate of 10.64%. As of 2020, China had 6,795 civil aircraft, an increase of 270 airplanes from the previous year. The number of civil aircraft in China has been soaring over the past 30 years, and the length of China's civil aviation routes has followed the same growth trend. For instance, In November 2021, China Airlines, based in Taiwan, received the delivery of its first A321neo passenger aircraft on November 29, Hamburg time. The new fleet emphasizes contactless service and enhanced epidemic prevention measures. The A321neo comes with bose ProFlight Series 2 Aviation Headset.

At the end of the fiscal year 2020, the total number of passengers transported by Air India was over 22 million, most of which were domestic. In that year, over seven million international passengers were transported. The increase in air traffic will lead to procuring of more aircraft to cater to the need of the passenger, which will directly supplement the growth of aviation headset market in Asia-Pacific region.
