  • October 2023: Suncor Energy announced that it will acquire the Canadian operations of TotalEnergies for USD 1.468 billion. The acquisition is intended to add 61,000 barrels per day of net bitumen production capacity and 675 million barrels of proved and probable reserves to the company's existing oil sands portfolio.
