  • May 2024: Inmarsat Maritime, a Viasat company, introduced NexusWave, a comprehensive connectivity service. NexusWave utilizes a 'bonded' multi-dimensional network to provide high-speed connectivity, unlimited data, global coverage, and a robust 'secure by design' infrastructure. As a fully managed service from a single provider, NexusWave integrates multiple high-speed networks in real time. These include Global Xpress (GX) Ka-band, low-Earth orbit (LEO) services, and coastal LTE, with an additional L-band layer for enhanced resiliency. This combination ensures fast, always-on connectivity. NexusWave features an enterprise-grade firewall, a security measure trusted by global enterprises and governments.

  • June 2023: EntelChile announced the launch of a 5G network on the island of Rapa Nui. Through this launch, the island will achieve significant advancements in its telecommunications infrastructure. Due to its unique geographical location, the island was dependent on advanced satellite-based internet connectivity with capacities lower than fiber optics. However, introducing the 5G network represents a major leap forward in terms of technological capabilities and connectivity options for the island. Moreover, Entelhas installed two 5G antennas as part of the second phase of its 5G spectrum project, which will offer over 1.5 million customers the opportunity to experience the benefits of 5G technology.
  • April 2023: Chilean regulator Subtelgranted Claro the provisional authorization to offer commercial 5G services through its 3.5 GHz spectrum. Earlier, the company was not able to launch a 5G offering in Chile as the 3.5GHz band was restricted to fixed wireless use. However, this limitation was overturned, making 5G a possibility for Claro in the country.
  • November 2022 - Saab announced a contract for the design, manufacturing, and maintenance of two SIGINT ships for the Polish Ministry of Defense's procurement authority, the Armament Agency. The agreement is now in existence because all requirements have been satisfied. As a result, Saab has now recorded an order intake worth about SEK 6.7 billion.
  • June 2022 - Elbit Systems Ltd. announced that the company had been awarded a contract to supply an Electronic Warfare (EW) solution to international customers for USD 70 million.
