The market in India is moderately competitive with a number of players in the market such as Piramal Glass, AGI Glaspac, Schott AG, among others. The manufacturers are coming up with product innovations and are demonstrating how different their product offerings are from competitors.

• In April 2023, Borosil Limited finalized a share purchase agreement (SPA) through its subsidiary Klass Pac to buy out over 90% share of Goel Scientific Glass Works Limited (GSGWL). GSGWL is a well-known producer of industrial glass process systems and laboratory glassware with two plants in Vadodara and is a public limited corporation. Borosil's expanding Scientific and Industrial Products (SIP) division has recently made large expenditures to diversify its offerings with respect to analytical vials, laboratory benchtop equipment, and primary packaging for pharmaceuticals. The proposed expansion is a logical extension of Borosil's SIP product line and is in industrial process systems for glass.
