• February 2024: The governments of Thailand and Saudi Arabia entered a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to develop the medical tourism industry in both countries. As Thailand is a popular destination for seeking medical treatments for international patients, including Saudi Arabia, the developments in medical tourism in Thailand are expected to promote medical tourism in the country.
• January 2024: Parexel and the Japanese Foundation for Cancer Research (JFCR) strategically collaborated to accelerate the accessibility of oncology clinical trials in Japan and open wide opportunities for patients to participate in cancer research in Japan.

• In August 2023, the Ministry of Home Affairs introduced a new category for Ayush (AY) visas for foreign nationals seeking treatment under the Ayush system of Indian traditional medicine. This special visa scheme for foreigners includes therapeutic care, wellness, and yoga.
• In March 2023, the South Korean Ministry of Health selected several locations in the country for the allocation of funds to boost medical tourism. The government invested KRW 200 million (USD 0.15 million) to expand the capacity of Jeju's healthcare facilities to attract and receive foreign tourists.

• April 2022: ND Western, a member of the Independent Petroleum Producers Group (IPPG) of Nigeria, and the state-owned Nigerian Petroleum Development Company officially commissioned the Delta Plus Diagnostics facility in Nigeria.
• February 2022: SYNLAB, Nigeria's leading medical laboratory diagnostic (pathology) service provider, opened a state-of-the-art diagnostic medical laboratory at the Delta State University Teaching Hospital (DELSUTH), Oghara. This was part of the company's effort to help the state government give people good health care.

In October 2022, Twist Bioscience launched the Twist Human Sample ID kit to provide researchers with a solution to track samples throughout the lab workflow. These kits can be easily integrated into Twist NGS workflows and enable tracking from whole blood or purified genomic DNA to ensure sample identification throughout the lab workflow.

In June 2022, PerkinElmer launched New NGS library preparation kits, NEXTFLEX Small RNA-sew kit v4, NEXTFLEX Rapid XP V2 DNA Seq kit, and PG-Seq Rapid Kit V2 to reflect the company's commitment to remove bottlenecks in sample preparation.

In August 2022, mHealth, a community-based wellness platform, launched a one-of-a-kind holistic wellness community built for the C-suite. The corporate wellness startup urates tasks for fitness, daily nutrition and diet, emotional well-being, and chronic care. mHealth works to improve the community's physical, mental, and emotional wellness to provide comprehensive solutions to the CXOs and their families.

In February 2022, a health tech company, Quantum CorpHealth Pvt. Ltd opened three new offices in India (Bengaluru, Pune, and Hyderabad) to meet the country's rapidly increasing need for health and wellness services for corporate employees and their dependents.

• September 2022: Bionano Genomics Inc. announced the launch of Bionano Laboratories, a new organization that combines Bionano's optical genome mapping (OGM) data services with the clinical testing services previously offered by Lineagen. It also announced the launch of Bionano Laboratories' first OGM-based laboratory-developed test (LDT).
• March 2022: Mindray launched its latest BC-700 Series hematology analyzers for small-to-midsize labs that incorporate both complete blood count (CBC) and erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) tests.
• September 2021: The Indian division of Roche Diagnostics launched the Cobas pure integrated solutions analyzer with a more intelligent system suitable for many labs and hospitals operating in the country.

• June 2022 : Care4Parents, India's eldercare services platform partnered with Dial4242 Ambulance service. As a part of this tie-up, users of Care4Parents will be able to book an ambulance in seconds. This service is available 24X7.
• May 2022 : MUrgency Group entered into definitive share purchase agreements with a set of investors in Ziqitza Health Care Limited, the leading private sector company in the emergency medical response and transportation (Life Support Ambulance Service) sector in India.

• In August 2024, AstraZeneca’s Imfinzi (durvalumab), an immunotherapy in combination with chemotherapy was approved in the United States for the treatment of adult patients with resectable early-stage (IIA-IIIB) non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and no known epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutations or anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) rearrangements.
• In June 2024, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved pembrolizumab (Keytruda, Merck), a type of immunotherapy that can be used with carboplatin and paclitaxel. This combination is followed by a regimen of single-agent pembrolizumab, specifically targeting adult patients suffering from primary advanced or recurrent endometrial carcinoma.

• In July 2024, NxGen MDx unveiled its groundbreaking Early Advantage Panel (EAP) and Super Panel. These state-of-the-art genetic carrier screens aim to deliver equitable screening solutions, guaranteeing thorough and precise outcomes for all individuals, irrespective of their ethnic background.
• In June 2024, Myriad Genetics, Inc. unveiled its new Universal Plus Panel as part of the Foresight Carrier Screen. This panel encompasses 39 conditions and evaluates up to 272 genes linked to severe inherited disorders.

• April 2024: The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) initiated the "Strengthening Animal Health Capacity and One Health to Prevent and Mitigate Risks and Threats Related to Zoonotic Diseases, Food Safety, and Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) in Madagascar" project. This project was spearheaded by the FAO Emergency Centre for Transboundary Animal Diseases (ECTAD).
• February 2024: The Veterinary Health Department of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation initiated a large-scale anti-rabies vaccination campaign in partnership with multiple Animal Welfare Organizations.
