- December 2022: Adisseo group had agreed to acquire Nor-Feed and its subsidiaries to develop and register botanical additives for use in animal feed.
- July 2022: Novozymes expand the Innova product platform with the addition of Innova Apex and Innova Turbo. These products are formulated to function during a particular fermentation process to meet desired production targets and corporate objectives.
- June 2022: Delacon and Cargill collaborated to establish a global plant-based phytogenic feed additives business for enhanced animal nutrition. The partnership has helped in extensive feed additives expertise as well as an increase in the global presence.

- December 2021: BASF SE launched the new enzyme product Natupulse TS for animal feed. Natupulse TS is a non-starch polysaccharide (NSP) enzyme. The addition of ß-mannanase to the feed decreases digesta viscosity, increases the digestibility of the feed, and ensures a more sustainable production. Natupulse TS is available in powder and liquid form. Both formulations deliver very good overall stability during storage, in premix, and under challenging conditions in the pelleting process.
- April 2021: Eastman Chemical Company has acquired 3F Feed & Food, a European leader specializing in the technical and commercial development of additives for animal feed and human food in Spain.
- December 2020: Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) Company expanded to end the production of dry lysine in the first half of 2021. ADM Animal Nutrition focuses instead on l-lysine liquid 50% and encapsulated lysine products. Throughout 2020, ADM worked closely with swine and poultry feed producers to transition to liquid lysine.
April 2024: Nutreco opened a new poultry and animal feed production facility in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria, through its subsidiaries Skretting and Trouw Nutrition. This USD 26.7 million facility spans 170,000 sq.m and has an annual production capacity of 125,000 metric tons of poultry and animal feeds.
March 2024: Olam Agri, a Singapore-based food and agribusiness company, purchased Avisen in Senegal for USD 18.6 million. This acquisition is part of Olam Agri's strategy to expand and improve its animal feed and protein production capabilities in the region, focusing on poultry feed.
November 2023: Mitsui & Co. Ltd, a leading global trading and investment group, agreed to invest in Wadi Poultry SAE and its subsidiaries. Wadi is a prominent agribusiness group focused on poultry feed. This investment aims to expand Wadi's poultry feed operations locally in Egypt and internationally through exports.
August 2021: Nutreco partnered with Unga Group PLC to address the rising demand for high-quality protein feed, including poultry feed, in East Africa. This strategic collaboration resulted in the formation of two joint ventures with Unga Group's subsidiaries, Unga Farm Care Limited in Kenya and Unga Millers Limited in Uganda. By securing regulatory approval, Nutreco expanded its presence in Africa, significantly enhancing its capacity to serve the poultry feed market in the region.
- January 2023: De Heus Animal Nutrition established a new greenfield animal feed factory in Ivory Coast with an initial capacity of producing 120,000 metric ton of feed for animals including cattle.
- May 2022: Archer Daniel Midland Co. acquired a feed mill in Southern Mindanao, the Philippines expanded its Animal Nutrition footprint in the country.
- November 2021: De Heus Vietnam signed a strategic agreement with Masan, after which De Heus obtained control of 100% of the feed-related business of MNS Feed. The feed business of MNS Feed covers thirteen animal feed mills, with a total production capacity of nearly 4 million metric ton, strengthening De Heus' position in Southeast Asia's largest animal feed market.
- June 2022: Wellness Pet Company, maker of premium natural food and treats for dogs and cats expanded its Wellness® Bowl Boosters® line with the launch of Wellness® Bowl Boosters Freshly™.
- January 2022: Tevra Brands released a weight loss supplement for dogs, SlimPaws, a soft chew supplement that contains a blend of leucine and pyridoxine (vitamin B6) patented by Nusirt Biopharama Inc
- November 2021: Hill's Pet Nutrition partnered with Bond Pet Food Inc., a Colorado-based pet food company, to develop alternative ingredients to address the dietary needs of cats and dogs. - March 2024: The Thai Feed Mill Association (TFMA) and the US Soybean Export Council (USSEC) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to bolster sustainable sourcing practices for feed ingredients in Thailand. This agreement is specifically designed to create a reliable and sustainable supply chain for soybean, soybean meal, and related products catering to Thailand's feed milling industry.
- March 2024: Cargill and VPF Group, a producer and distributor of pork in Thailand, entered a strategic partnership. This partnership grants Cargill the opportunity to produce swine feed at VPF's cutting-edge facility in Chiang Mai. By harnessing Cargill's advanced technologies and stringent quality control measures, the venture aims to enhance the production and distribution of premium swine feed, catering to the discerning Thai market.
- March 2023: Betagro opened a fully intelligent feed mill with Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity and automation in Nong Bun Mak, Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand. The company invested THB 1.4 billion (USD 44 million) in building the plant, which will help it meet the growing demand for animal feed in the country.
- July 2022: Nutreco, a Dutch producer of animal nutrition, fish feed, and processed meat products, was awarded a USD 4.8 million grant to build feed mills in remote African communities, including Egypt.

- November 2022: Mars Petcare signed an agreement to acquire Champion Petfood, a global pet food brand with a significant presence in South Korea. Champion pet food was a trusted brand in the premium and natural pet food category and saw a lot of consumer footfall. This acquisition aims to integrate Champion pet food's expertise in this field country's and Mars's brand loyalty.
- January 2022: Dongwon F&B partnered with Bmsmile, a domestic pet product brand operator, to develop functional moist pet food packed in sealed pouches and cans. The partnership would also help the company expand its presence in South Korea.
- November 2022: Skretting opened its new fish feed factory, Lotus II, in Vietnam. The fish feed factory consists of two independent lines with a production capacity of 100,000 tons per year.
- June 2022: Vietnam-based Sheng Long Group opened its new aquafeed mill at Phu Hoa Industrial Park, Vinh Long province.
- September 2021: Vietnam's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development launched a USD 149 million initiative to develop the aquaculture sector in the Mekong Delta.
