- November 2022: Ghana's Seed Experts Draft New Seed Sector Strategy and Investment Plan. The Seed Sector Strategy and Investment Plan is expected to strengthen Ghana's seed industry by promoting the adoption and utilization of certified seed by the country's farmers.
- October 2022: Standard Chartered Women in Technology Incubator program (SC-WIT) Cohort 2 awarded GHC 90,500 (USD 7479.34) each seed funding to five women-owned businesses to scale up their business operations.
- September 2022: South Korea and Ghana signed an $8 million agreement towards improving capacity and rice seed development, provision of agricultural machinery and equipment, and construction of a rice milling plant and agricultural equipment storage facility.
- June 2022: AGRA launched the SeedSAT project in conjunction with Ghana's department of food and agriculture to ensure that high-quality seeds are distributed and planted across the country.

April 2019: S&W Seed Company expanded its geographical presence in Asia-Pacific to develop hybrids and varieties of sorghum, to achieve higher sales.
August 2022: DLF opened a new research station for forage, turf, and legumes in the 30-acre site in Bangor, Wisconsin. This site allows for a more natural evaluation of drought tolerance and nitrogen efficiency forage seeds.
- October 2023: Evergreen Farms, a company that deals with Christmas trees, introduced innovative cultivation methods using advanced agricultural technology. These techniques optimize growth conditions and ensure high-quality trees.
- December 2022: Whitehill joined other scientists and state and university leaders to mark the launch of construction on a new facility dedicated to the care of the trees' seeds, funded by a grant from the North Carolina Tobacco Trust Fund.
- October 2020: The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Forest Service modernized its approach to selling Christmas trees. USDA has permitted and made them available to purchase through Recreation.gov.
- December 2023: India extended the exemption from mandatory inspection certificates for rice exports to select European countries for another six months. This extension applies to both basmati and non-basmati rice exports destined for EU member states and the United Kingdom, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland.
- July 2022: Mitsui & Co. signed an agreement with Rol-Ryz, a leading European pulse and rice distributor and a subsidiary of Euricom, to purchase a 28.6% stake in Rol-Ryz.
- June 2024: India's guar gum exports reached 61 countries, totaling an increase of 11,160 metric tons in comparison to the previous year, according to export data from APEDA.

- January 2024: Under the leadership of President Musab Al-Mulla, the Union of Cooperative Societies in Kuwait launched a new initiative under the "Sahel" program to bolster price control on essential commodities, fruits, and vegetables within cooperative societies. The Sahel system is used to update prices.
- January 2023: The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA), China, authorized the import of two types of genetically engineered (GE) alfalfa for processing. These approvals, effective from January 5, 2023, to January 4, 2028, mark the first time US GE alfalfa has been approved in China, a significant importer of hay and other forages.
- January 2023: Spain adopted a Common Agriculture Policy where fodder-growing farmers can receive Basic Income Support for Sustainability and Redistributive Payment. They can also choose to participate in eco-schemes voluntarily. Additionally, those who grow fodder crops like vetches and alfalfa may qualify for the Coupled Payment for Protein Crops.
- June 2023: AeroFarms, a respected company in indoor vertical farming and recognized as a Certified B Corporation, expanded the distribution of its highly regarded microgreens in retail stores, such as Walmart and Stop & Shop, in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions.
- May 2023: AeroFarms teamed up with Amazon Fresh, both online and in physical grocery outlets, broadening its reach and microgreen offerings across the United States. This collaboration addresses the surging appetite for microgreens among American consumers.
