Tannin Industry Overview
The global market for tannin is fragmented, owing to the presence of large regional and domestic players in different countries. Emphasis is given on the merger, expansion, acquisition, and partnership of the companies along with new product development as strategic approaches adopted by the leading companies to boost their brand presence among consumers. For instance, in June 2016, WWF-Brazil and Tanac SA joined together in cooperation which is involved in the development of a balancing act of vegetable extraction on tannins along with environmental protection. Also, in May 2018, Rehap worked with the Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant (BBEPP) in Belgium for the development and upscaling of tannin hot water extraction.
