In August 2022, Valent Biosciences subsidiary, Mycorrhizal Applications LLC, expanded its research facilities at the Bio Research and Development Growth Park at Donald Danforth Plant Science Center in St. Louis, Missouri. The expansion provides increased laboratory capacity for research related to arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi and allows the company to conduct in-depth research on new uses for mycorrhiza.

In June 2022, Groundwork BioAg and Israel-based global crop protection company ADAMA commercially agreed to offer sustainable, cost-effective mycorrhizal products to increase crop yields in the Indian market. This collaboration enables ADAMA and Groundwork BioAg to access India's vast and rapidly growing agricultural market, such as corn and soybean.

• October 2022: ACI Biolife Fertilizer and the Bangladesh Institute of Nuclear Agriculture (BINA) signed an MoU for Biofertilizer, i.e., Trichoderma development and testing. ACI Fertilizer is developing a Biofertilizer Lab at Jhikorgacha, Jessore, with support from BINA.
• September 2022: Corteva Agriscience acquired Symborg, an expert in microbiological technologies based in Murcia, Spain. Acquiring Symborg is a significant next step in Corteva's strategy to accelerate the development of a best-in-class biological portfolio as a valuable part of the integrated solutions.
• March 2022: Rizobacter expanded and commercialized its products to other African countries apart from South Africa, including Malawi, Zambia, Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda, Kenya, Sierra Leone, and Tanzania.

Players in the Thailand fertilizer market are adopting various business strategies, including mergers and acquisitions, product launches, expansions, partnerships, etc.

For instance, in 2020, Yara Thailand Company Limited, in collaboration with DTAC, a telecommunication service provider, launched an app called 'Kaset Go,' which educates the farmers in using modern technologies to increase the crop yield. This innovation may boost the sale of the Yara fertilizers as the farmers begin to gain more knowledge.

In 2020, Yara Thailand Company Limited has also launched a new granular fertilizer product for water systems in Thailand. The product was launched as a premium product targeting the greenhouse, farms using fertigation systems, etc.,

In June 2021, Petrokimia Gresik signed an MoU for gas purchase with Kangean Energy Indonesia for an ammonia-urea plant.

In October 2020, PT. Pupuk Sriwidjaya Palembang carried out a soft launch of Cassava NPK Fertilizer in Sidokerto Village, Bumi Ratu Nuban District, Central Lampung Regency, to support cassava productivity and build an integrated industry in the region.
