• December 2023: Pure Harvest Smart Farms acquired RedSea, a Saudi Arabian player that deals with climate-smart technology solutions. According to the acquisition terms, Pure Harvest took over RedSea’s existing six-hectare controlled-environment agriculture (CEA) production facility near Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Through this acquisition, the company aimed to increase its production of fresh produce in the Saudi Arabian market.
• September 2023: Pure Harvest Smart Farms partnered with Richel Group (Richel), one of the leading organizations providing turnkey, mid- to high-tech greenhouse solutions worldwide. With the main focus on the Middle East and Asia, the partnership aimed to deploy over USD 150 million worth of smart growing systems promoting the production of fresh produce with the flexibility to expand the partnership into new markets of different geographies.
• March 2023: AeroFarms expanded its indoor vertical farming ventures in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar. The company signed a joint venture agreement with the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia and established a vertical farm producing 1,100 metric tons of crops annually.

• November 2023: CNH Industrial NV unveiled CR11 New Holland combine at Agritechnica '23. Its 775-horsepower C16 engine powers 2x24-inch rotors, while the 567-bushel (20,000-liter) grain tank ensures ample storage capacity. With a rapid six bushels (210 liters) per second unload rate, the CR11 minimizes grain loss.
• November 2023: Yanmar Co. Ltd partnered with International Tractors Limited (ITL) to strengthen the product portfolio, network & service capabilities to serve customer needs. Through the extensive network of both companies, this strategic partnership was poised to broaden the market reach for both brands substantially. ITL and Yanmar aimed to provide unparalleled customer service & technologically advanced products across Europe by harnessing their collective expertise and resources.
• September 2023: John Deere and Yara partnered and improved fertilizer efficiency and crop yields through a combination of Yara’s agronomic expertise and John Deere’s Precision Technology. This collaboration provided farmers with data-driven recommendations, optimized nutrient use, and maximized productivity.

• August 2023: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd (M&M Ltd) launched a new wheel harvester under the Swaraj brand in the domestic market. Swaraj 8200 Wheel Harvester provides maximum harvesting acreage in a year with best-in-class grain quality and maximum profit.
• November 2022: Mahindra & Mahindra Farm Equipment Sector (FES), a part of the Mahindra Group, inaugurated its first dedicated farm machinery plant (non-tractor) in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh. The new plant is spread over 23 acres and can manufacture 1,200 combined harvesters annually.
• June 2022: The Andhra Pradesh government flagged off the state-level mega distribution of equipment, including combined harvesters, under the YSR Yantra Seva Pathakam Scheme.

• May 2024: Case IH, a brand of CNH Industrial, launched the Axial-Flow Series 160 Automation, a new line of harvesters. These harvesters are produced in the Sorocaba plant in São Paulo, Brazil.
• April 2024: Valtra, a brand of AGCO Corporation, launched its Q5 tractor series for the Brazilian market. The models are available in power ranging from 265 to 305 HP and are known for their innovative design and cutting-edge technology.
• December 2023: John Deere allocated approximately BRL 180 million (USD 37 million) to establish the Brazil Technology Development Center, marking its inaugural foray into tropical agriculture R&D. The center’s primary goal is to enhance collaboration among its various R&D teams. These teams focus on innovating and certifying new products and technologies tailored to the primary production systems of grains, sugarcane, and specialty crops.

• May 2022: AGCO acquired JCA Industries to increase engineering and software development capabilities and to accelerate the development of highly automated and autonomous machines.
• April 2022: Deere & Company and GUSS Automation formed a joint venture with an LLC in Kingsburg, Calif. Global Unmanned Spray System (GUSS) is a pioneer in semi-autonomous sprayers for orchards and vineyards.
• April 2021: Cropin Technology Solutions Private Limited, a leading AI and data-led Agtech organization opened its first international office in Amsterdam as part of its expansion plans. This has opened new markets for the company.

November 2022: Kubota Canada Ltd, one of the country's leading tractor and compact equipment distributors, unveiled the M7-4 diesel tractor at the Agri-Trade Equipment Expo in Red Deer, Alberta, introducing farmers to the latest innovation to come out of Kubota's popular M7 series.

October 2022: Kubota Canada Ltd opened its new Canadian corporate headquarters and distribution facility in the growing Pickering Innovation Corridor.

December 2021: New Holland Agriculture, the brand of CNH Industrial, announced a strategic partnership with MacDon Industries Ltd, a leading manufacturer of combine headers. Under this agreement, MacDon will distribute a full line of co-branded combine draper headers through New Holland dealers worldwide.

• August 2023: Mahindra Tractors launched the Mahindra OJA tractor range at the Futurescape event in Cape Town, South Africa. The company introduced seven lightweight tractor models equipped with standard 4WD. These tractors, ranging from 20HP to 40HP (14.91kW to 29.82kW), offer platform versatility to effectively manage various agricultural tasks.
• July 2023: John Deere acquired Smart Apply Inc., a precision spraying equipment company that developed the Smart Apply Intelligent Spray Control System (an upgrade kit that can improve the precision and performance of virtually any air-blast sprayer used in orchard, vineyard, and tree nursery spraying applications). Smart Apply is primarily sold through John Deere dealers in South Africa.
• November 2022: Kubota set up a supply chain to sell Africa low-cost tractors produced in India that take advantage of India's low material and labor costs, wherein, instead of exporting from Japan, Kubota will have an Indian subsidiary ship compact models to the small-scale farms that dominate Africa's agricultural sector, including South Africa.
• June 2022: Argo Tractors South Africa (Argo SA), an agricultural vehicle supplier, expanded its office in Kempton Park, South Africa, which possesses a semi-knocked down (SKD) assembly area between 12 and 16 bays that can produce 2,000 units a year.
• June 2022: John Deere launched the X9 Series Combine, which provides ultra-efficient crop feeding with up to 25% less grain loss and has high-capacity feeding, which accounted for the most significant grain-handling combine harvester in South Africa.

November 2022: AGCO Corporation launched a brand-new online tool called Geo-Bird to help farmers around the world independently plan and optimize their global navigation satellite system (GNSS) machine guidance lines.

October 2021: CNH Industrial launched an innovative platform named AGXTEND for digital agricultural solutions in Brazil. January 2021: AgEagle Aerial Systems, an industry-leading drone systems and solutions provider, acquired MicaSense Inc. from Parrot, a European drone group, in a combined cash and stock transaction valued at USD 23 million. This acquisition empowered AgEagle to drive true innovation and advancements of commercial drone systems and solutions for several high-growth industry segments.

December 2020: IBM Services and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) launched a three-stage support for the Digital4Agriculture Initiative (D4Ag) for small-scale agriculture ventures or start-ups in Africa to predict the weather information and services accessible to improve their crop production.

• June 2024: John Deere launched the 6M tractor series in Europe, offering models ranging from the compact 6M 95 to the powerful 6M 250. These tractors come with 4.5 or 6.8-liter engines, delivering up to 20 additional horsepower with intelligent power management (IPM).
