- May 2022: The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Sri YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, officially launched 175 Mobile Ambulatory Veterinary Clinics (MAVCs) with an investment of Rs 278 crore. The state government planned to establish 340 Dr. YSR Sanchaara Pasu Aarogya Seva, or Mobile Ambulatory Veterinary Clinics (MAVC), in the state to improve the service delivery system and ensure that the veterinary services provided by the animal husbandry department are more easily accessible to the public.
- March 2022: Hacarus Inc. launched its ECG platform along with DS Pharma Animal Health. The device measures and analyzes the heart condition of dogs to aid in the early detection of cardiac disease, the second leading cause of death for canines.

- April 2024: The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) initiated the "Strengthening Animal Health Capacity and One Health to Prevent and Mitigate Risks and Threats Related to Zoonotic Diseases, Food Safety, and Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) in Madagascar" project. This project was spearheaded by the FAO Emergency Centre for Transboundary Animal Diseases (ECTAD).

- February 2024: ECO Animal Health Group PLC informed that the ECOVAXXIN trademark was approved by the European Union. The registration for ECOVAXXIN provides trademark branding for a family of vaccine products. ECOVAXXIN is a master trademark and will protect all ECO's forthcoming vaccine products. Starting in 2025, the company plans to market its vaccine products in multiple jurisdictions, with multiple planned launches over the next ten-year period.
- In October 2022, NovaQuest Capital Management invested over USD 20 million in Mileutis Ltd, an Israeli biopharmaceuticals company, to help mitigate the use of antibiotics in animals. Mileutics is in the advanced stages of developing a product that treats and prevents bovine mastitis.
- In August 2022, PortaCheck launched a PortaReader, a handheld device that detects subclinical mastitis cow-side in bovine milk. The PortaReader detects subclinical mastitis in fresh bovine milk samples right on the farm.
- May 2022: PurrSong, Inc. launched its LavvieTag, a cat smart-care fitness tracker. It enables pet owners to collect their cat's daily walking, running, sleep, and calorie consumption with LavvieTAG's Activity Analysis Sensor.
- January 2022: Invoxia, a United States-based tech company, introduced a smart dog collar named Invoxia Smart Dog Collar, which is made to monitor a pet dog's vitals, activity, and location 24/7 and has become the first biometric health collar for dogs.
- July 2022 : JAB Holdings agreed to acquire the German pet insurance provider Agila from Wertgarantie Group, continuing its breakneck expansion into the global pet insurance market.
- December 2021 : Chewy Inc., a leading online destination for pet parents and partners, and Trupanion Inc. Japan, an industry leader in medical insurance for pets, announced a partnership to offer an exclusive suite of pet health insurance and wellness plans to more than 20 million Chewy customers.

- In August 2022, PepiPets launched a new mobile diagnostic testing service. Launching this new service in a company release will allow clients to receive diagnostic testing at home for their pets. PepiPets hopes the at-home testing service will help pets feel more comfortable with the procedure and save time on travel to an in-person office visit.
- In March 2022, Companion Animal Health promulgated a strategic agreement, including an equity investment, with HT BioImaging to co-brand and exclusively sell the HTVet product in the US and Canada.
- September 2022: Zoetis launched Solensia to manage feline osteoarthritis pain in the United States.
- April 2022: FDA-approved medetomidine and vatinoxan hydrochlorides injection for use as a sedative and analgesic in dogs while undergoing certain clinical examinations and procedures and minor surgical procedures.
- In September 2022, Merck Animal Health announced the new label indication for both Bravectoand BravectoPlus for topical use in cats to treat and control Asian long-horned tick infestations. Bravectoand BravectoPlus for cats is the first and only U.S. product labeled for treatment and control. The Asian long-horned tick is an invasive Ixodid tick native to Japan, China, eastern Russia, & Korea.
- In January 2022, Zoetis announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) had approved a new label indication for SimparicaTrio (sarolaner, moxidectin, and pyrantel chewable tablets) for the prevention of Borrelia burgdorferi infections as a direct result of killing Ixodes scapularis vector ticks (black-legged or deer ticks). SimparicaTrio is approved for dogs eight weeks of age and older.
- August 2022: Hicuity Health launched tele-ICU services at MUSC Health Columbia Medical Center Downtown in Columbia, South Carolina. The new service launch draws upon MUSC Health's long-standing collaboration with Hicuity Health which delivers telemedicine services to hospitals across the state.
- April 2022: Bayer launched 27 telemedicine centers in 12 districts across eight states in India over the next two years through Bayer Foundation India.
