  • April 2022: Colgate-Palmolive launched its Prescription Diet pet food line, focusing on aspects like new formulations and packaging redesigns. This product line has been launched to deal with specific pet health concerns, introducing 66 total dry and wet foods and treats for dogs in the product portfolio.​

•In December 2021, due to increasing domestic and export demand, Mars Petcare India expanded the pet food industry, including dog food in Telangana, India, with an investment of USD 67.0 million. January 2022: Cranswick, a leading UK food producer has announced the acquisition of Grove Pet Foods based in Lincolnshire which produces a range of dry pet food products for several leading brands under private label relationships alongside its own branded products. The acquisition helps Cranswick to enter the pet food market in the country. 

  • September 2021: Royal Canin, a Brand of Mars Inc., launched Health Management, which offered five tailored nutritional ranges designed to support optimal health in cats and dogs: which included oral care products Feline Dental Diet and Canine Dental Diet.
  • August 2021: Wellness Pet LLC, a United States-based pet products company, introduced new age-specific and dental health products. The firm introduced WHIMZEES Value Packs assorted dental treats for dogs, which feature a variety of dental chew shapes to support dental hygiene.
  • June 2020: Pedigree, a subsidiary of Mars Inc., launched three new dental products, including ‘Dentastix’ for dogs. Dentastix Chewy Chunx helps prevent plaque build-up throughout the day and may launch chicken and beef flavors, with mini or maxi options for smaller or larger dogs.

  • August 2022: Wiggles, an Indian pet food brand, expanded its product portfolio by launching new dog food called EveryDawg. EveryDawg is a tasty and nutritious dry food for dogs that is free of sugar and gluten and is suited for all dog breeds. It is available in three variants, Mother and Puppy, Puppies, and Adult Dogs.
  • May 2022: IAMS, a Mars Petcare brand, launched a range of its dry cat food products for the Indian Market. The launch included IAMS’ Proactive Health Cat Food range, consisting of three varieties and formulations to suit specific health concerns in kittens and adult cats, including a unique formula developed for kittens and their mothers
